When I first received this item, I thought, what the heck, I got the wrong thing. The picture looked like (I thought) metal molds. I wanted molds for hard candy. These are actually a plastic sheet with the molds in it, similar to what I've purchased in the past for chocolate suckers. I called customer service, and to my surprise, these ARE for hard candy! It is special plastic made to withstand the high temperatures of hard candy, but of course it could also be used for chocolate or whatever else you make suckers out of. The molds work perfectly and the suckers turn out really cute!
